Grading charts (traditionally printed on cardboard slide devices known as EZ Graders) eliminate mental arithmetic when evaluating stacks of student exams. Instead of typing (Total - Wrong) รท Total repeatedly into a desktop calculator, you look down a single pre-calculated column to find the exact letter grade corresponding to the student's missed question count.
Need to test uneven point totals or calculate comprehensive course standing? Check our companion Points Grade Calculator or find out how many wrong answers keep an A with our guide: How Many Questions Can You Miss for an A?.
An EZ Grader chart is a printable score reference table that displays the exact percentage and letter grade for every number of missed questions on a test of a specific size.
All charts use standard academic half-up rounding. For example, on a 30-question test, 1 wrong yields 29/30 = 96.67%, which rounds up to 97% (A+).
We offer dedicated charts for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 75, and 100 questions. For custom sizes up to 200 questions, use our interactive EZ Grader tool.
